Sikh Awareness Day
Have you been asked what is a Sikh? What is Sikhism? Or any other questions pertaining to Sikhi?
Here’s a way to raise awareness in a positive manner that all will remember. Sikh Awareness Day.
Take a day or even a few hours to spread the word on your campus. Inform others about what Sikhi is and who Sikhs are.
Advertise, advertise, and advertise well in advance! Since this is not an event that the campus community is familiar with your group will need to draw in people.
Suggestions/possible booths:
- Hand out pamphlets with information & facts
- Serve langar & explain the significance
- Tie turbans & take pictures
- Write out names in in Gurmukhi
- Have someone play the tabla, harmonium, or other classical gurmukh sangeet instruments
